Equipment Recycling

The goal of the Young Scientist Program (YSP) at Washington University is to provide science outreach to the St. Louis City public schools through education and resources. Many of the science teachers in the St. Louis City public schools lack the resources and lab materials to do hands-on science teaching in their curriculum. The Young Scientist Program and Washington University School of Medicine are working to help combat this problem by donating old, used equipment and supplies to schools in need. Our disposable items (glassware, plastics, gloves etc.) are available for teachers to keep, while many other large items (microscopes, PCR machines etc.) can be borrowed and returned to YSP after usage. All of these resources are available at no cost.

Visit our Equipment Request form to see what we have available and to request materials for rent or consumption.
